Mario Monge is the soon-to-be ex-husband of adult film star, Mary Carey. The 35-year-old blonde has decided to punt an end to her marriage of almost 7-years.
Carey –whose real name is Mary Ellen Cook –is also an ex California gubernatorial candidate and if you haven’t already watched one of her XXX videos, she’s also appeared on VH1 reality show, Celebrity Rehab.
Mary Carey started out as an exotic dancer. She took ballet lessons until the age of 19. She eventually became a feature dancer which allowed her to travel and meet many people in the business. Mary has
also appeared in several adult films and have made a few appearances on national television.
Mary has done soft core films following her retirement from porn in 2008. That same year she made her appearance on celebrity rehab to treat an addiction to Xanax. She vowed to leave the porn industry.
She appeared in a 2010 documentary After Porn Ends, which is about life after being a porn actor.
Following her wedding with Mario Monge, she stopped making adult films at his request. However Carey continued making a living with personal appearances in night clubs and strip clubs. The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas at Heavenly Bliss Wedding Chapel in 2009.
Mario Monge, an electrician, has a tattoo that reads “Mary” on his wrist, while Carey has “Mario” written on hers. The couple met on a blind date, and married 7 weeks later. He is of Cuban descent.
She filed for divorce last week and is requesting spousal support, their ’03 Cadillac, ’04 Corvette and North Hollywood apartment. Judging by their photos together, it appears as if Mario Monge never got used to her lifestyle, while she’s seen smiling in the images, he looks as if he is bored out of his mind.
Mary Carey also revealed the reason she’s leaving Mario Monge is because of the lack of sex in their marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences. Ouch! Mario Monge and Mary have no children.
