Alright so, weddings are a once in a lifetime event with memories to  be made that will last forever right, at least that’s the main idea, but we are a little baffled on how it is supposed to work out, when your groom to be has been sentenced to 28-years in prison!

A Latina woman, is said to be engaged and soon to be married to 26-year-old Joran van der Sloot, the prime suspect in the disappearance and assumed murder of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway back in 2005 in Aruba and currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Tatiana Flores, a student he met in a Lima casino.

So who is the woman willing to go through this? Leydi Figueroa Uceda, whose real name is Carol and identified as “Leidi” is a Peruvian 24-year-old who is also five months pregnant with his child.

According to her Facebook profile, Carol was born September 19, 1989. She is a student at Telesup Universidad Privada in Lima. Figueroa has a 2-year-old boy from a previous relationship and during interviews back from 2011 she stated that she didn’t even know Van der Sloot and instead was visiting someone else in prison.

Leidy and Joran met while she sold goods in the Peruvian prison -Lurigancho penal facility –in which he is being held. Figueroa worked with her parents at a kiosk in the prison. The two have nearly completed the legal arrangements needed for them to marry while he is in prison.

It is believed that, Flores saw information on his laptop computer that told her exactly who he was and he killed her in a hotel room as a result. This took place five years to the day of Natalee Holloway’s disappearance. Once Joran van der Sloot serves his time in Peru he will be extradited to the United States where he will go to trial for extortion. He allegedly took $25,000 from Natalee Holloway’s mother Beth with the promise of leading the woman to her daughter’s remains.

Reports indicate it is actually possible Figueroa wasn’t entirely aware of who he was, although if you are getting intimately involved with someone who is behind bars, it is not because of their good deeds! Just saying!

Van der Sloot is no doubt charismatic as he has proven he can win over the ladies time and time again, it is almost terrifying how his mind works.

Being a notorious international criminal hasn’t stopped him from getting his way with Uceda who is set to be united to him during a civil ceremony next month.

The murder of Fort Bragg soldier Kelli Bordeaux has someone to be blame for. Michael Holbert, who had been interviewed several times in connection with Bordeaux’s disappearance, but did not have evidence to charge him is currently under arrest in relation to her death.

Here is what you need to know about him!

1. He is no angel! He’s been in and out of jail over the past two years.

Holbert is a 27-year-old registered sex offender who was convicted as a 16-year-old of indecent liberties with a 5-year-old child. Born November 2, 1986. Aliases include

2. He had been a person of interest since Bordeaux disappeared in 2012.

Nicholas Holbert of Fayetteville, North Carolina was previously questioned by Police twice and initially ruled him out as a person of interest.

3. Nicholas Michael Holbert worked as a bartender.

Michael used to work as a bartender at Froggy Bottoms, the same bar where Kelli Bordeaux was last seen at just after 1 am leaving.

4. He admitted he knew the victim

In a 2012 interview with WTVD, Holbert admitted he drove Bordeaux home on April 14, 2012, but he denied having anything to do with her disappearance.

5. He denied having killed her.

A reporter at WTVD, asked him “Did you kill her?” “I did not,” said Holbert.

6. His victim?

Holbert’s victim is Kelli Bordeaux, a Fort Bragg soldier who disappeared more than two years ago.

Bordeaux’s remains were found Wednesday in a wooded area near Interstate 295, roughly four miles from the bar where she was last seen alive on April 14, 2012.

7. Iit was Holbert who “shared vital information” to his arrest

He told WTVD

“Around one, one-thirty, she told me ‘I’m tired. I want to go home.’ I said ‘Okay,’ so we got in the car and as soon as I pulled into Meadowbrook, she said ‘You stop right here and let me out. I’ll walk,’ I said, ‘Are you sure?’ She said, ‘Yeah.’ I said I figured she didn’t want me to know where she lived, or somebody was there and she didn’t want to be seen together.”

 

8. Holbert is now charged with first-degree murder.

He was being held at the Cumberland County jail Wednesday night with no bond for the murder of Kelli Bordeaux.

9. Kelly Bordeaux’s family expressed anger toward Holbert.

As news of spread that her body had been discovered, Kelli’s sister, Olivia Cox said

“I mean, why today of all days what made you decide to say something and on top of that what made you wait so long. We literally have been through hell and back begging and pleading and praying just trying to bring her home.”

10. His punishment

In North Carolina for first degree murder is death or life in prison without the possibility of parole.

She also wrote  two bestselling cookbooks. Her television career spans fifteen years and she has been featured on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, and The Today Show.

According to Radaronline, Mary Jo tried to ban Tori from seeing son Jack during the divorce. The divorce between Eustace and McDermott was granted on March 13, 2006 and the couple share joint custody of their son, Jack.

#1 Harry Reasoner was born in Iowa.

Harry Truman Reasoner, was born on April 17, 1923 in Dakota City, Iowa, the younger child of Eunice Reasoner (nee. Nicholl) and Harry Ray Reasoner. Harry  had one older sister named Esther.

#2 He was home-schooled before he attended school in Minneapolis.

His mother taught him how to read at home, he then attended  West High School in Minneapolis from where he graduated in 1940.

#3 He enrolled  in Stanford and the University of Minnesota, and served in World War II.

Harry Reasoner became interested in journalism in high school, he pursue  his dream by studying journalism at Stanford University and the University of Minnesota, took a break from college  to served in World war II, where he began t work on his first novel.

# 4 His first job was with The Minneapolis Times.

He started is journalism career with the Minneapolis Times, while there his novel Tell Me About Women was published in 1946, this was the first of  three more books like “The Reasoner Report” (1966), “The World Today” (1975) and “Before the Color Fades” in 1981.

# 5 Reason worked in radio before joining CBS News

He was working in Radio with CBS in 1948; then got into television and worked at station KEYD (later KMSP) in Minneapolis, eventually joined CBS News, hosting the News program Calendar.

# 6 While at CBS News he covered an important Event that changed his career.

Harry Reasoner covered the assassination of President Kennedy, his funeral and Lee Harvey Oswald arrest and assassination.

#7 He Joined 60 Minutes in 1968.

Reasoner teamed up with Mike Wallace for the  60 Minutes newsmagazine series.

#8 Joined ABC, teamed up with Howard K. Smith, Frank Reynolds and Barbara Walters (Barbara Walters’ Bio here)

He joined ABC News in 1979, co-anchored with Smith until 1975, after that he took  worked Solo, but then ABC decided to hire Barbara Walter former Today Show co-host to paired up with Reasoner for ABC Evening News. He was always rude to Barbara, something that became something to joke about for several late night shows.

# 9 Reasoner  married twice and had seven children.

In 1947 he  married Kathleen Carroll Reasoner, his wife for 35 years and the  mother of his seven children Harry Stuart, Ann, Elizabeth, Jane, Mary Ray, Ellen and Jonathan; after their divorce in 1981 he got married to Lois Harriett Weber an insurance executive on May 28, 1988.

#10 He died at the age of 68.

Harry Reason fought lung cancer, before he died on August 6, 1991 from a blood clot in the brain received from a fall at his home in Westport, Connecticut, just three months after his retirement.

Gorgeous Viveca Birgitta Paulin was born April 24, 1969 in Askim, Gothenburg Municipality, Sweden. She attended Pomona College, graduating in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History.

Before she has appeared in several small parts in both film and television, including A Night at the Roxbury, Viveca worked as an independent auctioneer and became an experienced art auctioneer who has presided over numerous benefit auctions in the last 15 years.

She has also worked along side her husband, she played the character Dawn, the wife of Will Ferrell’s rock ‘n’ roll character.

The Swedish actress, producer and Ferrell go way back at least for two decades, the met in an acting class in 1994.

“I met my boyfriend Charlie Cox at the Bowery Hotel in New York. He was doing Boardwalk Empire. I had a meeting with my agent, and we were introduced. Drew and Melissa’s mother Mrs. Marjorie Joy Katz (nee. Nemarow) owned the Cherry Hill Gift Shop, the Cat’s Meow; Marjorie graduated from Vineland High in 1961, she then studied French at Penn State, from where she earned her  bachelor’s degree in 1965.

Marjorie met her beloved husband at a Cong. Beth El dance at its first home in the Parkside neighborhood in Camden when they were teenagers. She  and Lewis got married in 1966. Mrs. Katz  died on Friday, December 20, 2013 from complications of a stroke  at a New York Hospital.

The character has inspired art, a YouTube mockumentary, cosplay, and an alternate reality game.

The girls identified as Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier said they were trying to become “proxies” of a mythological demon-like character called Slender Man. According to news outlets, they planned they spent months planning to kill their friend and after failing to kill her on Friday night during their “sleepover” they took her to the woods for a session of hide-and-seek.

#7. Charged as a adults.

Giving the seriousness of their crime, the two 12-year-old girls have been charged as adults. If convicted of the charge of first-degree attempted homicide they could face up to 60-years in prison.

#8. Extremely disturbing scene

During the stabbing attack, one girl told the other to “go ballistic, go crazy,” according to the complaint.

The victim began to scream that she hated them and started stumbling away, one of the girls told police.

#9. Victim nearly dies.

The victim was stabbed 19 times in the arms, legs and torso; doctors told police that one stab wound missed a major artery near her heart by a millimeter.

Every student at the middle school where the girls attend had recently been given iPads. Parents say officials promised to monitor the students’ online activity, but never did.

The couple married during a private ceremony April 3, 2012 in Los Angeles and they have no kids together but Megan is the stepmother of his daughters Zola Frank and Ceylon Indira Zappa, from marriage to fashion stylist Lauren Knudsen. The couple reside in Los Angeles with stepdaughter Mia. That same year his good fortune continued on May 31 when his ex wife, Lauren Knudsen, was ordered to pay a lump sum settlement to him, ending further claims in their divorce.

38-year-old Megan writes on her Grammy Award winning hubby’s website, her interests include “my husband and daughters and my husband and daughters” She is a fan of Judge Judy and hobbies include recreating “Talofa”

Among the roles of being married to rock guitarist include traveling on the road with him, and that what supportive and sweet Megan does.

There is not much that we can tell you about her, but what we can say without a hesitation is that they seem to be still in that honeymoon stage of their marriage. And the couple is not shy about showing how much they care. On his blog the 44-year-old rock guitarist dedicates her a few cords with the caption

proposed to his never-before-seen girlfriend Dana Lavette Cody? Touching right! But it gets a little creepy when we realize she is just a 25-year-old woman. To much speculation the unconventional couple is 100% supported by daughter Aviva as we saw on the June 3 episode she throws them an engagement party.

But then you have Ramona Singer making Cody cry by bringing up her deceased parents at the engagement bash and telling Teichner no mother wants her daughter marrying a 76-year-old.

Now, George confirmer to Us Weekly no matter what people thinks he is still moving forwards with Cody. The investment banker had no choice but to defend his relationships against critics, saying

“As to the naysayers, jealous women, and just plain Stoopids, I emphasize to such now: things that are not definable, that cannot be delineated, are usually dismissed as false.”

…Not concerned with being seen by the eyes of others, but seen with our vision of clarified and purified love.”

The couple is more than five-decades apart in age, that means he was actually in his early 50’s when she was born but hey who’s counting!

Dana is a Miami nail salon owner and when we think about the startling age gap between the fiancées we cant help to think that she is in it for the money but several reports say the licensed nail technician even makes more money than he does, making some members of the cats believe she is it for the right reasons, including daughter Aviva.

Now, other sites, seem to think the girl is just taking advantage of her 15-minutes of fame, claiming she pushes her nail services as much as she can and that she is using her wealthy soon-to-be hubby to open another nail salon… this one in LA. The stoopidhousewives.com also claims she is 29-years-old and that she is in a relationship! Cody tweeted back and forth saying it was all lies.

In the meanwhile the TippieToesNails owner seems to be fresh as a cucumber not giving in to provocations.

Meet 24-year old Miss Pennsylvania Valerie Gatto, she says winning the Miss USA crown would give her an even larger platform for spreading her message of hope and solidarity. And what is her message exactly?

Valerie is an advocate for sexual assault awareness, she travels the country to talk to women from 18 to 30 about how to protect themselves against violence and sexual aggression.

But why did she choose to speak about sexual aggression?

She is a beautiful bright young woman with an inspiring story to tell. Her conception was under terrifying circumstances as her mother revealed to her

‘Something bad happened to me. A very bad man hurt me, but God gave me you.’

At age 6 she started asking about her absent father but she was 10 when she learned the truth. Her mother had been raped at knifepoint and as a result she got pregnant with Valerie. To most people it would be a negative situation but as she says, as she opens up about being a child of rape

‘I have a loving, supportive family who told me I could be the president of the United States.’

Valerie, who grew up with her mom and grandparents says her family’s strong Christian faith was also a major factor in her positive outlook on life. On her biography website, she explains how her mother’s decision to put her up for adoption changed the night she was born

‘Valerie’s mom told her family about her adoption plans; but Valerie’s great-grandmother said – God doesn’t give you more than you can handle,’ reads the beauty queen’s biography.

‘Her mother listened and decided to raise Valerie with the help of God and her family.’

The stunning brunette graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh, she currently works as a marketing consultant for a periodontal practice. She knew from an early age what she wanted, her bio says she was asked in second grade

What do you want to be when you grow-up.  She replied a model, actress or marine biologist.

After graduation and a 52-day-Euro trip last year she eventually began pursuing her acting and modeling dreams. She  starred in an independent film called “Croaker” and became Miss Pennsylvania 2014, the next step for her? Watch her on Sunday as she goes head-to-head against 50 of some of the nation’s most glamorous, talented and competitive women aiming for the title of Miss USA!
